Pork Chops Recipe with a miso mustard sauce and sesame green beans

Pork Chop Recipe

I am really pleased that the yellow sticker section in my local supermarket has started to get used again and this week I managed to grab some lovely pork chops for £2.71 for 6.

So, I kept 4 out for dinner and chucked a couple in the freezer for another day.

After seeing a couple of Asian inspired pork recipes over the last month, I adapted them to suit my budget and our tastes. I hope you all enjoy this easy pork chop recipe as much as we have.

Check out the recipe and give it a go this week. It would make a perfect mid-week meal or something a little different over the weekend. But either way, when a meal is ready in 15 minutes, it has got to be worth a go.

    Instructions

    Easy Pork Chop Recipe

    • This is a really quick and easy recipe, making it perfect for a mid-week dinner for a busy family. First up, mix all the miso sauce ingredients in a bowl. Rub a good spoonful of the sauce over each chop and save the rest for serving.
4 tsp Black Sesame seeds, 2 tsp Sesame Oil, 4 tsp White Miso Paste, 2 tbsp Mirin, 2 tbsp Caster Sugar, Juice of 1 Lime, Juice of half a grapfruit, 2 tsp English Mustard
    • I used a griddle pan and heated up the oil and then cooked the chops for about 5 minutes on each side. If you don't have a griddle and frying pan would work just as well.
      4 Pork Chops
    • I chucked the beans into a saucepan of boiling water and cooked for two minutes. Once the chops were cooked I rested them under some foil. I then added the beans and sesame seeds to the griddle pan and cooked for a further 2 minutes.
      pinch Green Beans
    • I served the chops on top of the beans and drizzled some sauce over the top.

    Sticky Pork with Asian Slaw
We eat a lot of Asian food and this Sticky Pork with an Asian Slaw didn't disappoint. It was really quick to prepare and cook and even though I needed to pay full price for the pork steaks because there was nothing in the yellow sticker section, it still came in at under a fiver for all of us.

Greek feta traybake recipe - Perfect midweek meal
Another perfect midweek masterpiece type recipe. This Greek feta traybake recipe is quick, easy and delicious. The cost came in at well under £5.00 to serve all four of us and I actually had most of the ingredients in the house already. It is full of vibrant colours and looked amazing on the plate when served. If you do have any leftovers, it makes can be eaten cold the next day for lunch. Why not give it a go and remember to let me know what you think.

    Thai Green Curry Recipe. AD
Thai Green Curry Recipe We love Thai food. The aromas, the fresh spices and most of all the flavours. So when
Mae Jum got in touch asking if we wanted to try some of their spice mixes, I didn't hesitate to say yes! Within a couple of days, a beautifully packed box of six different Thai Curry pastes arrived through my letterbox.Jatuporn or Jum as she is known by friends and family was born in a small market town in the south of Thailand. She moved to the UK to raise her family. As they started to fly the nest, she decided the nicest gift a mum (Mae in Thai) could give, would be to share the secrets to the recipes they grew up enjoying. The Mae Jum journey had started. This is the recipe for a Prawn Green Curry using one of the Mae Jum spice mixes. We have also tried the Massaman Curry, which was equally as delicious, so make sure you head over to my social media to see pictures of that too. Thai green curry is a house favourite and is so easy to make at home. We used prawns this time, however, if you don't fancy prawns, simply substitute them for pork, chicken or bulk it up with seasonal vegetables if you are vegetarian.
