I am really pleased that the yellow sticker section in my local supermarket has started to get used again and this week I managed to grab some lovely pork chops for £2.71 for 6. So, I kept 4 out for dinner and chucked a couple in the freezer for another day.

After seeing a couple of asian inspired pork recipes over the last month, I adapted to suit my budget and our tastes. I hope you all enjoy this easy pork chop recipe as much as we have.

Sometimes you need something quick and easy for your mid-week meals and this Chicken Satay recipe fits the bill well. Served with sticky rice and a cucumber salad, turns a traditional snack into an evening meal rather nicely.

Being unusually organised, I remembered to get the chicken breast out of the freezer in the morning, allowing them to be thoroughly defrosted by early evening.

It may appear to be a large list of ingredients. However a lot of it you may already have in the cupboard. It came in at just over £5 but did make enough for my lunch the next day.

After spotting two beef steaks at the yellow sticker section of the supermarket and with the kids at their mums for a few days, I decided to and some spice to my evening meal. This recipe covers two good sized portions and I actually had the second one for lunch the next day.

So, the kids are away with their Mum for a few days, finally giving me a chance to catch up with the house work and work. If I get another phone call about accepting the game request from the App Store, or asking for more data I'm going either scream or sit in the corner shaking......... Anyway, ignore my ramblings....... This recipe we had the day before they left. Easy, quick and very popular, so we will have again I'm sure. I did have a lot of this in the cupboard and only needed to buy the Chicken, also I have lost the receipt. So you will have to take my word for the fact it came to less than a fiver!
