Easy Flatbread Recipe
Easy Flatbread Recipe
This is a lovely and easy flatbread recipe. Kneading the dough is a great way to get the kids in the kitchen and help out.
The garlic and herb butter is optional, however, it does make the flatbread stand out and bring it to another level.
We have even used this recipe to make bread similar to naan bread to accompany our curries and kebabs too.

- Dust the work surface with a little flour and tip out the dough onto it. Knead for a short time (a couple of minutes is long enough) and then chuck the dough into a bowl that has been lightly dusted. Cover it and set it aside while you make the garlic butter.
- Melt the butter in a pan and chuck in the garlic and herb leaves. Give it a good stir through and then set it aside.2 Cloves of garlic, 40 g Unsalted butter, A good bunch of fresh herbs like flat leaf parsley, basil, coriander
- Divide the dough mixture into about six equal amounts and on a dusted work surface pat each one out flat with your hands before using a rolling pin to roll out each piece to about 12 cm rounds. With a sharp knife cut some slits into each piece of flatbread.
- I heated up my griddle pan and cooked each bread for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Once cooked, brush over with the garlic butter.
