Rampage R1 Stunt Scooter Review

Rampage R1 Stunt Scooter: A Dad’s Review [AD]

As a dad of three kids, I’ve witnessed the rise of the stunt scooter craze firsthand. These agile and versatile machines have taken over parks, skateparks, and even some streets, and it’s easy to see why. They’re a great way for kids to stay active, improve coordination, and unleash their inner daredevils. When I was approached by Skatehut, who have an amazing range of kids scooters and beginner skateboards to review their Rampage R1, I jumped at the chance. With its sturdy construction, comfortable deck, and high-quality components, it seemed like a perfect choice for a beginner scooterist.

First Impressions

Right away, I was impressed with the Rampage R1’s weight. It’s not too heavy to manage, but it still feels solid and durable. The deck is generous in size, providing plenty of room to plant feet securely. And the grip tape is textured, giving a good grip even in wet conditions.

The handlebars are also well-designed, with a comfortable rubber grip and a slight upward angle that makes it easy for my son to control the scooter. The brake lever is responsive and easy to operate, even for small feet.

Performance

Once we got used to the feel of the Rampage R1, the kids were eager to take it out for a spin (especially the little lady). The scooter handles well, even on uneven surfaces. The 110mm wheels provide a smooth ride, and the high rebound polyurethane ensures that the scooter bounces back quickly from jumps and landings.

We have all been practising basic stunts, such as wheelies and grinds, and the Rampage R1 has proven to be up to the task. It’s stable enough to handle his weight and momentum, and the deck is wide enough to provide ample support for his feet.

Safety

Of course, with any scooter, safety is paramount. The Rampage R1 has a few features that help to keep riders safe. The high-impact handlebars are designed to absorb impact in case of a fall, and the durable deck helps to prevent foot injuries. The brake lever is also easy to operate, providing a quick and effective way to slow down or stop.

Overall Impressions

Overall, I’m very impressed with the Rampage R1 stunt scooter. It’s a well-made, high-quality scooter that’s perfect for
