When Stem and Glory first opened the doors to their first restaurant, they had a Czech Chef. Soon after they were introduced to this recipe and it has become a staple item since. Vegan ‘Egg’ Mayo Sandwiches

Chicken Kebab - Greek Style Shish Kebab. This has been, by far the best of a great bunch of new recipes. The kids love it, I love it and who would have known it was so easy to make. We have cooked in the oven and on the BBQ. If you don't try anything else on my site, make sure you try this one! If you like a shish kebab takeaway you will love this.

Vegan ‘Quiche’

Makes 8 large slices

This is a staple in our house. It’s very tasty straight from the oven and works fab cold in a picnic with some pickle.

By all means, make your own pastry, but there are very good vegan pre-made shortcrust in every supermarket.

So, with the kids off to their Mum's for a few days, it was time for this dad to let his hair down. Sadly not this week though. Work, housework and other stuff to catch up on…… I knew before I left for work, that I was going to be late home, so rummaged through the freezer and stumbled on some prawns I brought when on a yellow sticker at the supermarket, so got them out to defrost and trotted off to work. Simple summer prawns it was going to be.

The ‘VLT’ (Vegan BLT)

Makes 2-4 rounds of sandwiches depending on the bread size

This has been on our menu at Stem & Glory Cambridge for years and it’s an absolute winner.

The trick is making the tempeh bacon super thin and super crispy and having just the right amount of mayo to make it sing!

Fresh pasta is so easy to make yourself. You will soon wonder why you even bothered with the dried stuff. We often get together in the kitchen and make it together. The ingredients can often be found in the house and you can honestly taste the difference. Check out this recipe for simple and tasty pasta dough.

We eat a lot of Asian food and this Sticky Pork with an Asian Slaw didn't disappoint. It was really quick to prepare and cook and even though I needed to pay full price for the pork steaks because there was nothing in the yellow sticker section, it still came in at under a fiver for all of us.

The kids love sticky ribs and these didn't disappoint. I was fortunate enough to find two packs in the yellow sticker section of the supermarket for £1.87 each. Originally I planned to do an Asian style meal with them but changed my mind at the last minute. This easy sticky BBQ ribs recipe only took about 5 minutes to prepare and was very easy to cook.
