Easy sticky BBQ ribs – Perfect midweek meal

The kids love sticky ribs and these easy sticky BBQ ribs didn’t disappoint.
I was fortunate enough to find two packs in the yellow sticker section of the supermarket for £1.87 each. Originally I planned to do an Asian style meal with them but changed my mind at the last minute.
This easy sticky BBQ ribs recipe only took about 5 minutes to prepare and was very easy to cook.
Take a look below and let me know if you try them. If you like the recipe please do share it with friends and family.

Ingredients

Easy sticky BBQ ribs

  • Pork Ribs
  • 2 tbsp BBQ spice mix

Glaze

  • 200 g Tomato Ketchup
  • 200 g Honey
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Teriyaki Sauce

Instructions

  • Chuck the ribs into a bowl and add the BBQ spice mix and using your hands make sure the ribs are covered, before putting them into a roasting dish and cooking for 1 hour in a preheated oven (160/140 fan, gas mark 3).
Pork Ribs, 2 tbsp BBQ spice mix
  • In the meantime, put all the ingredients for the glaze into a pan and stir well as you bring it to a simmer. Allow it to simmer gently for another 5 minutes before removing it from the heat.
200 g Tomato Ketchup, 200 g Honey, 3 tbsp Soy Sauce, 3 tbsp Teriyaki Sauce
  • After an hour of cooking, remove the ribs from the oven and turn the heat up to 200/180 fan, Gas 6. Dip each individual rib into the glaze using some tongs and place them back in the roasting tray. Cook for a further 10 minutes before repeating the process of dipping the ribs in the glaze. Finally, cook for a further 10-15 minutes until cooked through and really sticky.
  • I served with some delicious homemade fries, however, they would also work with rice or homemade coleslaw. Just remember to serve with plenty of napkins to clean those sticky hands and mouths.
