Another affordable and delicious recipe, perfect for a busy families midweek meal. This Spaghetti Puttanesca Recipe was delicious and was ready in 20 minutes. Most of the ingredients can be found in your kitchen cupboards already, just remember to pick up the bits you do need when you next go shopping.
*MENTAL NOTE* If your kids ask what Puttanesca means in Italian, don't, I mean, DON'T Google it in front of them.
This Spaghetti Puttanesca Recipe is not only delicious, but it also takes no time to prepare and cook. The dried spaghetti cooks at the same time you prepare the sauce and then you simply just mix it together.
After heating some oil in a pan over medium heat, chuck in the onion and cook for about 10 minutes, until soft before adding the garlic and chilli and cooking for about 1 minute more.
1 Onion, 2 Garlic Cloves, 1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes
Stir in the capers, anchovies and tomatoes and simmer for about 15 minutes.
120 g Black Olives, 400 g Tin Chopped Tomatoes, 5 Anchovy Fillets, 2 tbsp Capers
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti as per the instructions, then drain and toss with the sauce and the parsley.
I promised quick and easy and this Spaghetti Puttanesca Recipe doesn't disappoint. The kids will love all the flavours and you will love the ease it cooks and the little washing up it generates. Enjoy!
