If you’re a fan of KFC’s chicken and want to make it at home, the good news is that there are many KFC copycat recipes out there that you can try. Here’s a simple recipe that you can try and it tastes just like the real thing.

In another bowl mix together the egg with the buttermilk and place the chicken drumsticks into the mixture. Soak for about 30 minutes.
1 Egg (beaten), 250 ml Buttermilk (if you can find buttermilk, add the juice of half a lemon to normal milk), 12 Chicken Drumsticks
One at a time, remove the chicken from the buttermilk mixture and place it into the flour and herbs to coat it.
Heat some oil in a pan to around 170-175 degrees celsius and in batches cook the chicken for about 12 to 15 minutes. If using chicken thighs they will take a little longer.
Once cooked, carefully place them on a wire rack to drain any excess oil.
