Ice Lolly for Breakfast

Ice Lolly for Breakfast (with a healthy twist) So here’s my thinking, ice lolly for breakfast must earn me some

cool parent points, right? …….

A quick trip to the shop and only a few quid down. The plan commenced.

Joking apart, these are really simple to make and the kids loved being involved in the process. They all choose the fruits they wanted to try and loved stuffing the moulds.

Plus as an added bonus they got to eat an ‘ice lolly for breakfast’.

They only take a few minutes to prepare and then you place them in the freezer overnight and hey presto! they are ready

Ingredients

Ice Lolly for Breakfast

  • 1 Kiwi
  • 1 Handful Blueberries
  • 450 g Fat Free Vanilla Yogurt

Instructions

  • Firstly I removed the skin and thinly sliced the kiwi and then halved each slice. I couldn’t decide if I should half the blueberries, so some were halved and some left whole. I grabbed some ice lolly moulds from the cupboard and plonked (with a teaspoon) a dollop of yoghurt into each followed by some fruit followed by more yoghurt. Continued until each was full.
Finally, I then put the lids on and chucked them into the freezer overnight. Hey presto! Simple healthy yoghurt and fresh fruit with a twist….
As far as the kids are concerned they are getting ice lollies for breakfast, so shhhhh, if you see them, don’t tell ‘em.
