The kids had been going on at me for a while about having sticky chicken wings again. So, I grabbed some out of the freezer in the morning before work. This was a new recipe for me and really easy to prepare and tasted amazing.

 12 Chicken Wings
 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
 5 Spring onions, thinly sliced
 2 Piece of ginger, grated
 5 tbsp Honey
1 tsp Dried Thyme (the original recipe said three sprigs of fresh thyme, but I didn't want to spend 70p on a bag of the fresh stuff, knowing it would go to waste, so improvised with the dried herb, which I had in the cupboard)

1

When we got back home after the afternoon school run and the chicken had thoroughly defrosted I chucked the wings into a large freezer bag and then simple added all the ingredients, mixed around and let it marinade for a couple of hours.

Meanwhile I pre heated the oven to 180 degrees and placed the chicken wings into a roasting tray and cooked for about 30 minutes.

We had this with homemade potato wedges, but it would also go well with sticky rice and for less than £2.00 it was a fabulous dinner.

If you don't like it too sweet, simply add less honey and if you like it spicy add some thinly sliced fresh chilli to the marinade.
