Chicken Char Siu Recipe

Chicken Char Siu Recipe or Chinese BBQ sauce is a salty and sweet Asian flavour.  It works well with either chicken or pork.

I made this Chicken Char Siu Recipe for lunch this week, although it can easily be up-scaled for a tasty dinner. It is full of flavours and the kids loved it.

I can’t stress enough that good food doesn’t need to take forever to cook. Most of the meals I cook can be ready super quick.

This one is no different, 10-15 minutes to prepare and half an hour to cook.

Check out the easy-to-follow recipe below and don’t forget to share the recipe with your friends and family so that they can enjoy it too.

When you are next at your local supermarket, head to the reduced section. You may be able to find the chicken on a yellow sticker at a greatly reduced price.

Chicken Char Siu Recipe

  • I promised you quick and simple and this chicken char siu recipe won't disappoint. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and then, chuck in the chicken and mix together.
  • Place the chicken into a roasting tin and pour over any excess sauce. Cook in a preheated oven (180/170 fan degrees) for about 30 minutes or so until the chicken is cooked through. I served this with sticky rice for lunch. But you could serve it with a salad or noodles as well. Finding a spring onion in the fridge I chopped it and chucked it over the top to serve.
