Pork Chops with a miso mustard sauce and sesame green beans
I am really pleased that the yellow sticker section in my local supermarket has started to get used again and this week I managed to grab some lovely pork chops for £2.71 for 6. So, I kept 4 out for dinner and chucked a couple in the freezer for another day. After seeing a couple of Asian inspired pork recipes over the last month, I adapted them to suit my budget and our tastes. I hope you all enjoy this easy pork chop recipe as much as we have.
Chicken and Bacon Pie
The basic process is the same when you swap around the ingredients. You can even skip the puff pastry and use mash potatoes or slice some potatoes in to thin crisps and top the pie with them.
How to cook the perfect Christmas Gammon
How to cook the perfect gingered gammon. After all the fuss of Christmas Day, Boxing Day is often a more chilled and relaxed affair. We often won't have a fixed meal, rather graze slowly all day on cold meats, cheats and dips and pate. This ginger glazed gammon recipe is easy to prepare and because the slow cooker takes care of the actual cooking. You get more time to spend with the family.
Garlic cheese Chicken Roll
Going back to the 80's today with this one and using soft cheese with herbs for this delicious bacon and chicken roll. Well under a fiver with yellow sticker chicken breast.
Chicken wrapped in pancetta with a garlic and herb centre, on a bed of pureed potato with a chicken jus, served with honey glazed puree carrots. OR, as it's known in my house; chicken wrapped in bacon with mash potato, chicken gravy and mashed carrots.
