Fresh Pasta Recipe. Simple homemade pasta.
This Fresh pasta recipe is so easy to make. You will soon wonder why you even bothered with the dried stuff. We often get together in the kitchen and make it together. The ingredients can often be found in the house and you can honestly taste the difference.
While ‘OO’ flour is the preferred choice, it is possible to use normal plain flour if you don’t have any ‘oo’ to hand.

To make fresh pasta, you don’t need one of those fancy rolling machines. A good old fashioned rolling pin and some elbow grease will suffice.

Ingredients
Fresh Pasta Recipe
- 600 g Flour 'oo' is prefered although plain flour can also be used if you have no 'oo' flour
- 6 Eggs

- Chuck the flour onto a board and make a well in the middle. Crack the egg into the well. If the kids are helping it may be more sensible and a lot less messy to use a large bowl.600 g Flour, 6 Eggs
- Using a fork you can beat the eggs before gently mixing the flour and eggs together. You can use a food processor by chucking everything into the processor and blitzing until it is like breadcrumbs and then mixing together by hand.
- Once mixed together the kneading begins. Sprinkle some flour on the work surface and knead with your hands. You should continue this process until it starts feeling soft. Then simply wrap it in cling film until you are ready to use it.
- You don't need any fancy equipment to roll it, some flour and a rolling pin will do. Simple take a small piece about the size of an apple and begin rolling. If it starts to stick you can dust it with a bit more flour.
- Keep rolling until it is as thin as you can get it and then cut to shape. Tagliatelle is a really easy pasta to make and cut. If you loosely roll the pasta like a Swiss roll and then simply cut ribbons about 1cm across.
- To cook, you simple chuck it into a pan of boiling water and gentle simmer for about 3 minutes and hey presto! Fresh Homemade Pasta.For something really simple add my easy easy cheese sauce to your cooked Fresh Pasta

I have been wanting to make homemade pasta of a while now and haven’t gotten around to it. I think I will give it a try next week when one of our dinners calls for pasta. Love how easy it is.
